Business Description/Products/Services:
Weathers Wilcher is a small minority-woman owned research company that teams with clients from the private sector, public sector, and non-profits to solve complex problems through expertise in economics, healthcare strategy, and data science. Our research helps clients answer: - What is the central problem? and why is it happening? - What happens if a new policy is implemented? - What policies and programs are working? - How is my organization performing? - How do company activities impact people? and communities? We provide services across the data lifecycle, from translating research questions into data strategy, to the analysis (e.g., longitudinal data analysis, causal inference/quasi-experiments, cost-effectiveness, machine learning, qualitative), interpretation, and visualization of data. We translate findings for diverse audiences, from co-authoring technical reports to the design of infographics, fact sheets, and presentation slides. As additional background, Weathers Wilcher’s PhD-level research team has a combined experience of 20+ years leading research using quantitative/qualitative methods to inform decision-making at the international, national, state, and local level. Collectively, the work of Weathers Wilcher’s academic researchers has been cited in the following outlets: U.S. congressional testimony, reports to inform European Union policies, reports to inform strategic plans of CA health care systems, peer-reviewed journals, and reputable public media outlets. It is our goal to revolutionize research, and intersectionality is at the heart of how we design our research. We hope to set a new standard for formulating intersectional research by teaming with communities and stakeholders to better understand the social context of issues to identify inclusive policy solutions.
