CMG Alliance Founder and President

CMG was created with the core competency of providing business development services to the government and its clients. We have experience in government procurement policies and program development from both the side of the government agencies and from the prime contractor and small business perspective, leading to an interdisciplinary approach to program design and award acquisitions.

From getting your company certified to opportunity identification, developing proposals, preparing for post award and constructing teaming agreements, we position your business to win government contracts at the local, federal, and state level.

CMG Alliance was formed in 2008 by Mr. Rene Cota. Rene Cota is founder and principal owner of CMG Alliance. Mr. Cota is a proud Marine Corp combat veteran with two tours of duty in the Middle East. Mr. Cota brings over 15 years of experience in government contract management and program production and implementation. Rene has also served as the Executive Director of the Disabled Veteran Business Alliance from 2016 to 2017 and sits on the Board of CalVet.

Rene has been awarded the 2015 Lou Zamperini award for Veteran entrepreneurship by the Disabled Veteran Business Alliance, named the 2015 Veteran Champion of the year by the Los Angeles SBA and invited to be a judge by California DGS for the State Agency Recognition Awards (SARA).
